Features on star cars do occasionally change. The Koach headlamps for instance, I imagine they were originally custom made for the car. I'd guess one of the spider-web painted lens' broke and the entire lamp was removed. ( http://www.munsterkoach.com/FordTT70.htm ) Then because it looked funny without one headlamp, they were sadly replaced with whatever was available and fit the mountings. (At least the current lamps aren't like the ones that were used for a while: http://www.munsterkoach.com/cavalcade1.htm ) Repairs were usually made on the fly. Probably because just setting in the Barris garage, not much happens to them. It's when they get moved around, (going to car shows or being carted around the country in a trailer,) that things happen. And, yes, you're right, you can't please everybody... My best, Ernie
